What To Expect
What does a Sunday gathering look like at The Way?
We gather every Sunday from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in a space that feels more like a living room than a sanctuary. There’s no stage. No spotlight. No pressure to perform. Just a circle of people showing up—some curious, some weary, some hopeful—making space for God and one another.
A Sacred Flow
Opening + Grounding
We begin with stillness. A breath prayer. A few moments to check in with your heart. No need to pretend or posture—just an invitation to meet God in the real.
Ancient Prayers
We move through a rhythm of ancient Christian liturgy—psalms, prayers, and responses spoken aloud together.
These words connect us to something bigger than ourselves. They remind us that we don’t pray alone.
Prayers of the People
We lift up the needs of our world, our neighbors, and one another. Anyone is welcome to speak a name, a concern, or a simple prayer. Together, we hold space for love, hope, sorrow, grief, anger, and healing.
Scripture, Sermon & Conversation
Each week we hear passages from scripture and a short, 15–20 minute message—thoughtful, grounded, and honest. Afterward, we open the floor for discussion. We believe God speaks through many voices, and your voice matters.
The Eucharist: Our Centerpiece
Everything in our gathering leads to this moment.
The Eucharist—the shared meal of bread and cup—is the heart of our worship. We come to be nourished—not just symbolically, but spiritually, physically, and mysteriously—by the life of Christ.
This is not the table of the Church.
It is the table of Christ.
And everyone is welcome.
We pass the elements to one another and speak simple, sacred words:
“This is the body of Christ, broken for you.”
“This is the blood of Christ, poured out for you.”
Whether you feel full of faith or full of doubt, you’re invited. If you're hungry for grace, for healing, for a new beginning—this table is for you.
The Lord’s Prayer & Sending
We close with the Lord’s Prayer and a spoken blessing that sends us out with peace.
After the Gathering
Sometimes we stay and talk. Sometimes we share food. Sometimes we leave quietly. However you show up, and however you leave—you are welcome.
